Replacement of Electronic and ICT Equipment
ICT
Measure Goal
The goal is to standardize the calculation of electricity savings triggered by the replacement of electronic and ICT devices, taking into account efficiency improvements in devices such as computers, monitors, printers, network equipment and other ICT components.
Requirements
Only measures that meet the requirements of the Energy Ordinance (SR 730.01; EnV) can be credited. The additional requirements for the technical characteristics and for the implementation of the measure are set out in Table 1.
| Device type | Only the following device types, which fall within the scope of the Energy Efficiency Ordinance (EnEV; SR 730.02), are covered by this measure. |
|---|---|
| Energy efficiency | The new devices must have at least the following energy efficiency class / meet the following requirements: |
| Televisions, screen diagonal ≤ 54'' | |
| Televisions, screen diagonal > 54'' | |
| Monitors, screen diagonal ≤ 27'' | |
| Monitors, screen diagonal > 27'' | |
| Laptops |
Proof of compliance
Compliance with the requirements must be demonstrated by the following documents. The documents listed in Table 2 are an integral part of the proof of measure implementation.

Calculation Formulas
Jährlicher Stromverbrauch IKT-Gerät
The annual electricity consumption results from the number of devices multiplied by the sum of operating and standby consumption.
Standby-Stunden
The standby hours per year result from the total hours (8760) minus the operating hours.
Annual Electricity Savings
The annual electricity savings result from the difference between electricity consumption before and after device replacement.
Cumulative Electricity Savings
The cumulative electricity savings result from the annual savings multiplied by the standard effective duration and the correction factor.
